Oh these make me dream of spring!

This week’s featured pattern is Muckle Mitts by Mary Jane Mucklestone.

I imagine knitting these mitts would be like a breath of fresh air for those of us in cold climates. A reminder that spring really isn’t that far away. I love the color combinations featured in this pattern. Beautiful.

Here’s a beautiful collection of knitting happiness to brighten your Monday:

I love this Handspun Yarn, Juicy, 170 yds made by valentinearts! The color is so bright and cheerful.

These Blue Flower Droplet Stitch Markers by AbsoluteWonder are so pretty!

There are no words to describe how adorable that photo is. The pattern is PDF KNITTING PATTERN k-01 – Newborn Baby-bear hat by BeezyMomsCreations.

This Project Bag- in Magnolias by chickenboots is so clever. She inserts a divider so the bag has a small section and a large section. No more looking for your skein of yarn or getting it tangled with other projects.

Thick and Thin Yarn Slub TTS Fine Merino 3335 Chincilla Grey by 1AZColorworks

I love how luxe this yarn looks! I want to hold it and squeeze it and knit it into a giant cozy scarf!

That’s all for now. What is making you happy today? :)

This week’s featured pattern is the Isla Wrap by Jessica Vinson.

I love the chic simplicity of this wrap. It has just enough detail to catch your interest, but I feel confident it would not overshadow the outfit I pair it with. Truly a lovely little pattern. :)

Here’s a cute hat I came across this week. It’s the Expedition Hat by Maude L Baril.

I like this hat because it is remarkably un-fussy, and that’s just what I’m in the mood for today. :) It’s simple and yet it would stand out from the store-bought hats on the sidewalk. Brilliant.

I like how seamlessly the pattern and the seams integrate. Really well designed.

Have a lovely weekend everyone! xo Katie

A Little Ornament Can Mean So Much

Our friends, Benia and Sergio, were celebrating their two year anniversary last month and I wanted to give them something inexpensive and meaningful to celebrate this special moment.

After some thought, and careful charting, this is what I made:

It’s an ornament that says “2009 Benia + Sergio Fell In Love”

They loved it and so do I. :)

Wee Tiny Knit Roller Skate Sock

Today, I discovered the Wee Tiny Roller Skate Sock by Meg Bakewell, and it was love at first sight.

Seriously. Have you ever seen anything so adorable in your life?

The tiny wheels really seal the deal. I cannot wait to knit this little skate. It will be a fine replacement for the stolen tiny sock.

And yes, I WILL sew this one to the key chain. A knitter can never be too careful…  ;)
